This is my third year doing Relay For Life. I am excited to be on the Rocklin Relay Planning Committee and to be Team Captain of The Joeys this year.
When I was 9, my teacher’s son Joey got cancer. I wanted to something about it, but I didn’t think there was much a kid could do. Then I found out about Relay. My first year I raised $750, last year I raised $925 and this year I want to raise at least $1000. I hope that you can help me reach my goal.
Every year I do Relay more and more people I know are affected by cancer. This year I walk in memory of Joey and my Great Uncle Duke.
This year I am especially walking for Chelsea. She is 13 years old. She’s just a kid like me. She has osteosarcoma very bad, and her chemo is not working.
This year I am also walking for me and my mom’s friend LeeAnne. She has breast cancer. She just started her chemo and she is doing really great.
Thank you for all of your support. The Relay and The American Cancer Society really mean a lot to me. A kid really CAN make a difference.
Sincerely,
Maren

Hey, doll, my sister-in-law is doing this this weekend too. Do good and thanks for putting yourself out there.
